Rubber processing additives are substances used in small amounts in rubber formulations to improve processing performance without significantly affecting the physical properties of the final product. The most common rubber processing additives include metal soaps of fatty acids, fatty acid esters, fatty acid amides, or mixtures of these substances. Generally, these additives can effectively reduce the Mooney viscosity of the compound, improve filler dispersion, increase extrusion speed, and enhance the appearance of extruded products. Additionally, some specialized processing additives exhibit high curing activity, improving compound crosslink density and resistance to reversion.
