What's new in 3.0
- Version 3.0 is the wiki version for Forum #3
- CCGW code now points to the wiki instead of the (non-existant) forum thread.
Introduction
Geek codes are a way of providing information to other people about yourself. I got tired of people asking me the same questions over and over again on CCGW, so I co-opted the geek code and modified it for CCGW use.
An example:
CCGW: cB5@ cDAGE@ cDTOWN@ cEDEN@ G! I# X+ K+ YB69M
Code and Explaination
Identifier
As is similar with other geek codes, the first 4 letters define what geek code it is, in this case, CCGW, followed by the colon. If you decide to place this in your signature on these forums, please wrap a URL code around it to like it to this thread as follows:
CCGW:
Game List (Playing)
Next in line are a list of games and your personal info about those games. These are broken down into four parts - Type of Game + Game code + how you feel about the game + expertise level/other information.
Type of Games is defined by the tab in which they appear on in the engine. It's a one letter code in lowercase that's prefixed onto the game. The types of game available:
b = Board
c = CCG
d = Dice
g = Card
m = Miniature
p = Playing Cards
r = RPG
t = Tile
Game codes are all in uppercase. So far for the games that are available:
c7SEA = 7th Seas gABDUC= Abduction gAD = Access Denied cAVP = Aliens vs Predator cB5 = Babylon 5 gBGRID= Battle Grid bBB = Black Box gBORD = Borders dBOWL = Bowling cBUFFY= Buffy: the Vampire Slayer bCAPTL= Capitol gCC = Classic Concentration bCHECK= Checkers cCROW = The Crow tCRYPT= Crypt: The Pharoah's Curse cDA = Dark Age cDE = Dark Eden gDISC2= Disciples 2 gDLEG = Disciples: Legacy cDTOWN= DoomTown cDOOM = DoomTrooper cDUNE = Dune bELEM = Elemental gENDVR= Endeavor cFB = Fast Break gFLUXX= Fluxx cFTWIL= Final Twilight gFZOO = Frank's Zoo cGFF = GridIron gGOFSH= Go Fish gGRFOS= Grave Robbers from Outer Space cGUARD= Guardians cHALN = HumAliens bHAMLT= Hamlet! You don't have to include all the games in the code - just as many as you would like.
Game List (Development)
Games in development (if relevant) or the possibility of being developed can be listed after games available on CCGW. These are prefixed with an asterix (*), but otherwise follow the same rules as the normal games.

So for example, RicochetRita might have something like:
CCGW: cSR++pl cMYTH++i cWS+n *tCRYPT+l G1
As with the Games in play, you don't have to include all of these in your code.
Game Info
For games:
++ = I love this game - this is the game I play mainly
+ = I like this game - it's nice to play
0 = I have no opinion about this game
- = This game could be better but still playable
-- = I don't really like this game (but I know how to play it)
? = I don't know how to play this game
@ = I'd like to learn this game if someone will teach it to me
% = I don't think I'll play this game
& = I wish I have the time to play this game
Experience Level (Optional):
$ = I've (and/or have played) the physical version of this game
p = I have a pacman for this game
l = I'm the project lead (or co-lead) for this game
c = I'm the creator for this game
e = I claim to be an expert for this game
i = I'm only intermediate in this game
s = I'm not very good in this game
n = I'm new to this game
So, for example, jaycurl would probably have
CCGW: cWS++e
and Kev migh have something like
CCGW: cGFF++pl gSSHOP++plc cMND+p cWS+n cB5?
Note that a space delimits each "block" of data.
General Info
After the game info are the generic info. These are all optional:
Ghosts:
G1 = I'm a ghost on gEngine
G0 = I'm not a ghost on gEngine
G! = I'm Bugladen
G+ = I wanna be a ghost
G? = What's a ghost?
Favourite Ghost:
<3 followed by the name of the ghost. So <3j235 if j is your favourite ghost.
Image Scanning and Editing:
I+ = I'm an expert with image scanning and editing
I# = I've done some scanning and editing but am no expert
Ix = I know my way round the scanner but am not very good with mages
I0 = I don't know anything about image scanning and editing
I? = Images? You mean they are scanned?
gML Expertise:
X+ = I'm an expert on gML
X# = I can understand some gML
X0 = I don't know anything about gML
X? = What is gML?
gDK Expertise:
K+ = I'm an expert with the gDK
K# = I know my way around the gDK
K0 = I don't know anything about the gDK
K? = What is the gDK?
Dice and Markers:
DM+ = I use only markers exclusively to track the stats in my game
D+M = I use both dice and markers to track stats in my game
DM- = I use only dice exclusively to track the stats in my game
DM? = I don't use dice or markers to track the stats in my game
Background:
BG+ = I like backgrounds
BG0 = I have no opinion about backgrounds
BG- = I don't like backgrounds
Backgrounds can be suffixed by the following letters
s = I prefer single coloured backgrounds
n = I prefer the default grey background
c = I wish I could load personalised customised backgrounds
Premium Access and Licensed Games:
$#1+ = I'm not going to pay for any games
$#A- = I'll only pay for Premium Access when I need it
$#A+ = I'll gladly pay for Premium Access
$#L- = I won't pay to play any Licensed game
$#L+ = I will gladly pay to play a licensed game
Note: You can combine the above codes so for example:
$#1+L- = not paying for anything
$#A+L+ = will pay for everything
$#A-L+ = won't pay for Premium Access, but will pay for licensed games.
Finally, just to end it all, the last block is the age and sex.
YB = Year of birth and we aren't being Y2K compliant, so just truncate it to the last 2 digit. This is followed by the sex M=Male, F=Female, H=Haemaprodite (Both), T=Transgendered, X=Unknown, A=Alien
j235, for example, would have something like YB86M while Worf from Star Trek would probably be YB03A.
